Microsoft introduced Windows Phone 7

In opening World Mobile Congress 2010 in Barcelona, Microsoft CEO, Steve Ballmer, along with Joe Belfiore, vice president of Windows Phone, presented details about the next mobile operating system, Windows Phone 7 Series. It is a new approach for users of mobile terminals, with a focus on personal experiences.

Joe Belfiore have a functional prototype mobile phone with full touch screen, large, with access to social networking services. Microsoft Windows Phone officials say they will bring a different type of phone, unique and individual, focused on user needs. The phone should be a useful tool, to gather all information in one place. Hardware and software must be compatible to work very well together.

Joe Belfiore presented the phone which has functional interface, smart navigation system, menu options and more. Appeared in November details about Bing Maps. The keyboard is virtual, but seems to work very well.

Taiwanese manufacturer already Hight Tech Computer (HTC) has announced it will launch a series of mobile Windows 2010. Samsung did not publish details of forthcoming Windows mobile Phone 7 Series....

  1. Microsoft seems to be playing the game both ways. Only a couple of months ago, they announced that they’d be withdrawing their mobile OS from the better (as in larger) part of the market and focus on a few selected brands. That way they could have more control on the hardware their product was bundled with and thus eradicate bad user experience -due to hardware not meeting requirements.
It seems to me, the next battle will be between Apple and Microsoft and it will not only be in terms of software. I see Microsoft crossing the line soon and building a phone themselves.
